DarwinBeats is a music streaming app that only plays music by indie artists, and where the content is 100% curated by the listeners using our “natural selection of music” algorithm. Artists can reach the top of our charts by simply having great music, which is not the case on other platforms like YouTube, SoundCloud, or ReverbNation. Also, our platform is free for both artists and listeners.

Unlike other streaming sites like Spotify that pays up to 70% of their revenue to royalties, we don't have to pay royalties at all, because we receive royalty-free licenses directly from the artists who want to receive exposure. This makes it much easier to be profitable, compared to virtually all our competitors who concentrate on mainstream music.
