Dara.network creates community for change makers.

We focus on bridging artists, cultural practitioners, activists and social entrepreneurs across national boundaries. We recognize that collaborations between the Global North and South in particular have the potential to change career trajectories for our users.

We see digital interactions on Dara as the heart of these collaborations and have built a video-first messaging and social platform, complete with Discord-like communities and groups, events, gigs, projects and rich profiles.

Unlike other social networks, we lead with institutional blessing; our networks (and our business model) is paid for by our partner institutions such the British Council, Goethe Instituts and FSK who then pay for their own alumni to connect privately and securely on Dara.

At a technical level, we have a keen focus on accessibility, with support for Android, iOS and the Web and the app localized into German, Hindi and English.
