ConsentEye is a startup on a mission to develop a world-class privacy management solution for Data Protection Officers and Marketeers. The solution will be delivered as a SaaS (web) application, focusing initially on the needs of medium sized enterprises. Data protection and privacy generally, is an increasingly hot issue for society, given the ever-increasing amount of personal information being captured, stored and processed. The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force in May 2018. The related UK Data Protection Bill is also expected to become law next year. Both laws are intended to overhaul data protection and privacy for the digital age, empowering people to take control of their data, providing them with new rights and introducing much stronger sanctions for malpractice. ConsentEye is positioned extremely well in what is forecast to be a rapidly expanding market for privacy compliance solutions.
