E2E encryption only works for simple chat apps today. The reason is that sophisticated apps need a server layer, and that server layer needs access to plaintext. Comm's solution is the keyserver: a private server that functions as a personal data OS for consumers. Our long-term goal is to replace the cloud with a federated network of keyservers.
