Cognilab Technologies is hiring a full-time Javascript developer to help us work on Cognilab's web experiment creation tool. You will work with us in the GrowLab accelerator, one of Canada's most developed technology startup hubs. The space regularly includes mentorship sessions and presentations from some of the hottest companies in tech, including Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Adobe, of whom you will get many opportunities to meet and learn from. We're looking for an early team member to join us along for the ride of growing a startup. The successful candidate must have a passion for creating the product, plus a desire to learn & innovate. Compensation: TBD: $30,000 to $55,000, scaled with vested equity ranging from 0.5% - 2.0%. Travel expenses will be covered. Gym membership discounts also available. About Cognilab Technologies: Cognilab is an online laboratory for creating, crowdsourcing and sharing psychology experiments. Our service is 10x cheaper, faster and easier than using a physical lab for experiments. We have clients spanning Vanderbilt University, the University of Victoria, Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia. We are looking to scale our client base, and make our product into the next generation tool for psychology research. Required skills: - Basic experience with PhotoShop & Illustrator - Intermediate knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript & CSS - Intermediate knowledge of jQuery, including plugin architecture - Intermediate knowledge of mobile responsive design techniques - Intermediate knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and workarounds - Able to work with other developers (ie, modular, well-commented code) - A desire to make a dent in the Universe.
