Codelucida develops novel disruptive error-correction technology for storage and communications with initial focus on flash controller chips in mobile, consumer (i.e. tablets, laptops), and enterprise flash storage (i.e. data centers). With the industry's drive to reduce the high cost of flash memory by shrinking geometries and increasing storage densities, major issues arise with reliability and performance that can only be solved with better error-correction. Current solutions consume too much power and compromise the speeds while struggling to achieve the desired levels of accuracy needed for storage. Based on a proprietary know-how, Codelucida's technology addresses this need by providing enhanced reliability with significant reduction in power usage and footprint. The underlying algorithms behind the technology are fundamentally different from what is used in the industry. The technology will be a critical enabler for continuing the trend of cost reduction in flash memory.
