It's easier than ever to connect with a wide network of friends & strangers, but we think that modern social technology could do a lot more to support our most intimate relationships. By the time we exit our teen years, we're the tail end of the in-person time we'll spend with our parents and siblings. That means the primary interface to our families will be digital. But it's 2019, and despite the supercomputers in our pockets, we mostly resort to a combination of phone calls and texting. Keeping a single group tight-knit over time and distance is a sacred and important task that deserves specialized tools and spaces, so that's exactly what we're building: the digital version of home. Cocoon was started by seasoned startup founders who most recently led product & design teams at Facebook, shaping the way that 1B+ people share and communicate every day.
