Access to justice is a significant global issue as people everywhere struggle to find good legal counsel. Meanwhile, lawyers struggle to get discovered by quality clients. Clearway Law exists to solve these problems and to improve legal outcomes for lawyers and clients alike. Barriers to the justice system of most countries: •Lack of familiarity with the law generally •Little specific knowledge of how to access the legal system •No way to measure if lawyers are good or bad •Difficulty sourcing/engaging legal representation, tied to poor marketing on the part of lawyers •No way to browse lawyers by budget, to review fees Problem Indicators: •Canada: 70% of people going through the legal system don’t have a lawyer (2022). •The US: 63% of litigants did not have a lawyer and were self-represented. •The UK: 64% of parties did not have a lawyer when going through the court system (2018). We will bring people and lawyers together through technology, lawyer ratings, a legal Q+A forum, free legal guides and legal calculators (like child support calculators).
