Abby (co-founder & CEO) taught Algebra 1 with Teach for America (Oahu ‘18), where she became her department's lead math teacher and increased student test scores by an average 2 years. After teaching, she founded a tutoring company to help students through COVID, generating $250k+ in revenue and providing 200+ hours of free support for underserved students. In her free time, you can find Abby surfing, hiking, or reading a good mystery book. Katie (co-founder & CPO) taught 6th grade math with Teach for America (Nashville ‘15), with a focus on culturally responsive teaching. As grade team lead and RTI/EL coordinator (and school mascot!), Katie’s students ranked 1st in Nashville and 2nd in Tennessee for growth. After her time in school leadership, Katie transitioned to web development with the mission to increase teacher voice in EdTech. In her free time, you can find Katie around a board game with family & friends, or enjoying live music.
