City States: Medieval careers

City States is a city building and resource management multi player game for desktop and mobile devices with cross platform support. The whole economy of City States and all of its players will be executed live on the Stellar Network.

The big difference to most other 'blockchain games' is that the player doesn't need to own or know about cryptocurrency/blockchain at all. Anybody can start playing the game. The crypto component is primarily handled in the background.

Every resource in City States is issued as an asset on the Stellar Network/blockchain and trade-able on the integrated distributed exchange. Real demand and supply of resources produced, sold and bought by players make up their real world value.

Resources are traded against our in-game currency HEX (pure utility token with a fix value) which in turn can be exchanged into crypto or fiat currencies. People will be able to earn money playing the game, trading smart or changing their production according to global demand.

Every player starts out with the same set and conditions. By progressing in the game, more buildings, resources, production of enhanced goods and options like military units and their equipment (weapons, armor etc) will be unlocked.

Player vs Player starts with skirmish battles for resources and loot against each other. The road-map includes a world map where players can wage war against each other to extend their influence.

Hero units will be issued as NFTs on the ethereum blockchain, making City States the first game ever to utilize two different blockchains for their intrinsic use-cases at the same time.

Monetization through IAPs (in-app purchases), ads/CPA/surveys etc (optional for the user) and direct sale of NFTs. Selling of resources high in demand to level the markets from spiraling.

City States has been in development since April 2019, won a grant from the Stellar Development Foundation in October 2019. This is our first attempt at trying to raise external capital.
