City as a School careers

City as a school is a platform for delivering learning ecosystems at the city level. At its core, a learning ecosystem is a marketplace of learning experiences, services and learning centres. This is all accessed by our learner app and provider app. In the future we're also looking at building recruiting tools and taking government and employer subsidies for critical learning pathways.

For young adults, age 14 to 24, their parents are overburdened with responsibilities. They're disenchanted with schools and question if university will really suit them.

Broadly, they're seeking autonomy competency and relatedness in a world where life outside of school looks very different to what is being taught in the classroom.

Schools don't expose them to the communities, tools, professional relationships and opportunities that help them feel these things and allow them to thrive in that rapidly changing job market. The funny thing is they're not unskilled either, but they struggle to signal their diverse knowledge, informal learning and skills in a traditional CV.
