Charm Industrial's mission is to return the atmosphere to pre-industrial CO₂ levels
Charm Industrial is a venture-backed startup in San Francisco with a mission to reverse climate change and return the atmosphere to 280ppm CO₂ – otherwise known as pre-industrial atmospheric CO₂ concentration.

To accomplish this, we’re working on both carbon removal and emissions reductions.

First, we’re working on carbon removal through bio-oil sequestration. Charm uses plants to capture CO₂ from the atmosphere. We convert biomass into a stable, carbon-rich liquid and then pump it deep underground. This removes CO₂ permanently from the atmosphere, out of reach of wildfires, soil erosion and land use change.

Second, we’re working on emissions reductions by decarbonizing ironmaking, which makes up more than 7% of global emissions.

Come help us fight climate change — gigatons or bust!
