What’s great about Lastly is that it started as something deeply personal. I began building it as a passion project to preserve my father’s voice, wisdom, and personality. He is 85 years old, and I wanted to make sure that even after he is gone, I could still hear him tell stories, offer advice, and simply be himself. The goal was never about launching a company. It was about preserving memory, love, and legacy. When I shared the idea with others, the response was powerful. Friends, colleagues, and even acquaintances said they wished they had something like this for their own parents or grandparents. Some told me they had lost loved ones and would give anything to hear their voices again. That is when I realized this was bigger than just my story. So we decided to turn it into a product. Lastly is using AI not just to entertain or automate, but to help people stay connected to those they love, even when they are no longer here. It is meaningful, emotional, and something everyone can relate to.
