Campus Alert careers

An app that will give every student with a smartphone a silent alarm. In the case of emergency, the app will be able to send the activator's GPS location and student profile to campus police over the cellular 3G network.
To use the app: the student will put it on standby mode by running the app in the background. In an emergency, the student will remove the headphone plug from the smartphone's headphone jack like a pin trigger for a grenade. The student can choose to have a rubber headphone plug, which I will sell, with a grip for easy removal instead of attaching headphones when using the app. This plug can be customized to have school colors charms, etc. After the plug is removed from the jack, the phone will vibrate while counting down 6 seconds before sending an alert. This gives students a buffer period in case the plug is removed unintentionally. Once the alert is sent, the smartphone will activate its video and/or phone to allow the police to listen in on the activity.
