Cafe X designs and builds Robotic Coffee Bar, the most advanced cafe system in the world. We started off by operating the machines ourselves, and currently have them installed at two airports (SFO and SJC). Now, we’ve started selling the machine on our website, allowing anyone or any company to buy and operate their own Robotic Coffee Bar.

We’re based in South San Francisco, where we do our design, hardware, and manufacturing. We also have a small team in Hong Kong where the majority of our software engineers are based.

Cafe X pretty much invented the robotic coffee category in 2017 when we launched our first prototype in San Francisco. Since day one, we’ve had a relentless focus on design, user experience, and drink quality all backed by meticulous engineering and a culture of innovation. The company is backed by top Silicon Valley investors including Craft Ventures, Jason Calacanis/Launch, Felicis Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Social Capital, and The Thiel Foundation
