More than a third of all energy consumed in the United States is spent in buildings, and much of that is wasted delivering services occupants don’t need or want -- stranding people in freezing meeting rooms on a hot day, air conditioning the space on nights and weekends just in case someone is working late, or leaving the lights on. Software for buildings is stuck in ‘70s and is responsible for much of this waste. Comfy is creating tools for occupants that put them in direct control of their environment, and a platform that allows us to seamlessly deploy this control across a portfolio of buildings. Integrating with and ultimately controlling the behavior of physical devices in buildings is how we ultimately deliver our dual value propositions of making people more comfortable while also saving energy.
