Bolt is an online marketplace for shared solar. We offer online storefronts for solar projects where consumers can buy electricity directly from solar arrays in their communities.
But Bolt is more than a retail platform. It is a social experience that encourages consumers to live more carbon-neutral lives. With 77% of U.S households currently excluded from the rooftop solar market, Bolt targets an untapped market of Millennials, renters, condo-dwellers, and homeowners who don't qualify for rooftop solar. By giving these consumers the social and digital tools they have come to expect, we motivate them to reexamine their electricity usage and make the switch to solar.
