Blueshift careers

Blueshift builds open-source electronics. We recently launched our first products: the world's first supercapacitor-powered portable speaker systems.

Our Helium and Hydrogen speakers charge in 5 minutes and play for 6 hours. Rated lifetime is 500,000 charge cycles - we expect 20 years of consistent performance. Plus they actually sound good - they're designed around physics, not fashion. Durability, sound quality and efficiency are our priorities - and one side effect is that our products are also very sustainable, built from natural, renewable materials with long lifespans.

Our first crowdfunding campaign successfully raised $36,000 to fund pilot production of the Helium in December, 2013. Product is shipping now (April, 2014).

Speakers are just the beginning. The open-source model allows for low-cost development of great products throughout portable, personal electronics. We want to build the best stuff we can, not just products that can sell 100k units at 4-5x markups.
