Blok-Z is developing a decentralized electricity and carbon credit trading platform to allow independent consumers, suppliers and power producers to trade directly with one another without intermediaries.
We have seen that there were market and transmission inefficiencies in the energy sector which could be solved using blockchain technology. Furthermore, there was a massive trend in the number of small producers and prosumers who could not enter the electricity trading market due to the lack of a peer-to-peer trading platform. In 2018 they decided to launch their startup since they saw huge opportunities for improvement in the energy sector.
