Blockchain Web Services (BWS) is a peer-to-peer cloud computing platform which utilizes a novel “proof of useful work” (PoUW) blockchain to enable customers to perform cloud services such as machine learning on distributed computing resources provided by its miners.

BWS is a no-code Web3 platform for training Machine Learning models on a decentralized network of compute resources. Many of our devices, from personal laptops to enterprise servers, spend a lot of time idle in our homes, schools and offices. BWS allows owners to recapture value from idle computers by connecting to the BWS network and leasing access to their CPUs/GPUs and memory.

On the flip side, researchers, developers and engineers alike can use BWS to train and analyze Machine Learning models more quickly, economically and efficiently through the easy-to-use BWS Portal — no coding experience required.

BWS is pioneering a new approach to machine learning in the cloud: dML.

Decentralized Machine Learning (dML) represents a paradigm shift in how compute cycles for machine learning are sourced and compensated, all derived from the original Bitcoin codebase.

dML aims to:
- reduce spend on ML resources
- enable end-user peer-to-peer compensation for participation
- naturally facilitate redundancy (and thus, reliability)
- be censorship resistant
- reduce waste
