BlackSquare (blacksquare.io) has created Blackboxx (blackboxx.io), an ecommerce platform specialized for the global wine and spirits industry.

Blackboxx is the only PaaS solution in the wine industry, and the only one to allow multi-lingual, multi-geography and multi-currency transactions, all crucial for a global industry such as wine. Additionally, Blackboxx has a substantial (3x - 10x) ROI advantage to generic ecommerce carts such as Magento and Drupal, due in part to the regulatory and compliance customization built into the platform. Blackboxx is currently available for sale in North America, Australia, Europe and Asia and already has substantial producer market share in Australia and Canada, with some of the largest wine producers in the world using Blackboxx for their ecommerce and direct to consumer sales.

BlackSquare is also creating the Global Wine Database (GWDB.io) the first global standard in the storage and transmission of electronic wine information.
