At Blackink, we are building a powerful monetization service for newspapers to: personalize their paywall to each reader and to offer the most flexible and quick payment experience. How does it work? We use Machine Learning to learn to predict when is the optimal moment to put up a paywall, and then offer the reader several options to pay for content: pay per article, purchase subscriptions, watching an ad or filling out a short survey. Longer term a single subscription to all our partner publishers will allow readers to access premium content with ease within a single platform. In short, we believe that a deep and actionable knowledge of readers and an easy way to charge them is the only path for publishers to attain financial profitability to produce the best quality content.
