We are a young and diverse team that has previously worked for other biotech startups in San Francisco and Boston. Some of us have been working together since our research days at Cornell. BioFluff is going to fill the demand created by the paradigm change in the sustainable-fashion industry. Our biotech process softens natural plant fibers and assembles them into soft and durable fur. We are currently holding two patents to establish ourselves as a raw material producer for high fashion. We are currently partnering with a CDMO in Italy to scale the process to an industrial scale. We are combining two industries (enzymatic fiber treatment and faux fur technology), to solve the pressing need for sustainable and cruelty-free fur.
