BetterChain is a social venture on a mission to support responsible sourcing of minerals and better forms of engagement with communities in resource-rich countries, whose livelihoods heavily depend on revenues from the mineral trade. We work with mining operators, international traders, smelters and refiners in all geographies to design solutions for risk management and transparent reporting such as our ground-breaking, open-source Autonomous Due Diligence (ADD) protocol. We are also developing data rating and packaging systems, as we build a decentralised (blockchain-secured) marketplace for consumer-facing brands and ethical consumers to reliably access knowledge on the origin of their products’ supply chain. We are early in our journey, having launched in 2017, and we are poised to scale quickly as opportunities to partner, pilot and grow unfold. Your role is fundamental to such an expansion.
