Besa's mission is to connect people with community through experiences that transform lives. Since our launch in 2012, Besa has rallied thousands of people to dedicate more than 25,000 volunteer hours towards the greater good. We’re on track to achieve 75,000 volunteer hours and $5 million in community impact by 2020. In addition to a public volunteer portal (givebesa.org/volunteer), Besa partners with companies to elevate their Corporate Social Responsibility programs. Big Lots, Express, Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, L Brands and NiSource all leverage Promise, Besa’s proprietary corporate philanthropy software, to achieve a greater impact in our community. Companies using Promise are up to 3x more engaged in doing good. Besa sees Promise as the key to growing its impact here in Columbus and eventually across the United States.
