While traditional biological treatment systems have high energy demands, produce large quantities of sludge, occupy a large footprint, and require constant operator interface, the BioViper is specifically designed to handle high-strength industrial waste streams without these issues.
Baswood BioViper incorporates two patented technologies: Anaerobic/Aerobic Integrated Media Sequencing (Patent: US 2006/0096916 A1) and Dry Cycle Anaerobic/Aerobic Digestion (Patent: US 7,144,507 B2)
The Baswood BioViper system removes 90% or more BOD, with 60% less energy than alternative wastewater systems. The BioViper reduces sludge production by 30-40% compared to competitors treating the same wastewater, within a reduced physical footprint (the system is 75% smaller in size than a Membrane Bioreactor (MBR)).
