The Problem: The Great Rift Current Layer 2 solutions force a binary choice. You either choose a "Sequenced" chain for speed but lose L1 composability, or you choose a "Based" chain for L1 alignment but suffer from latency. This fragmentation is breaking the unified state of Ethereum.
Our Solution: The Hybrid State Machine We are building BASIS, a novel execution environment that partitions slot time into two distinct regimes. By architecting a "Hybrid State Machine," we allow applications to seamlessly transition between:
Phase A (Sequenced): Instant soft-confirmations for supreme UX.
Phase B (Based): Synchronous settlement for atomic L1 interoperability.
