At Awarded, it’s our mission to improve access to higher education. Roughly $70 billion of the ~$240 billion in annual student financial aid is directly managed by colleges and universities in the form of scholarships and grants. With the cost of education rising rapidly, access to higher education is challenging for many students. Yet administrators are painfully underserved by software to help manage their funds. Significant pools of funds go unused each year and even more funds are not put to optimal use. Simultaneously, students are left with a frustrating application process as they hope to secure the quality education they deserve. That’s where Awarded comes in. We’ve recently raise a pre-seed round to build the state-of-the-art award management platform for higher-ed, and we’re hiring engineers that are deeply excited about our mission.
