Avalon Holographics is developing a ground-breaking screen technology that will (finally) revolutionize the way that people view and produce visual content. From cave drawings to motion pictures, nearly all of humanity’s attempts to recreate visual experiences have been a 2D compromise; even the most advanced mainstream 3D technologies have been forced to trick the brain and eyes into seeing 2D images and interpreting them as 3D, with serious consequences such as eye fatigue, nausea, and headaches. Avalon displays create a discrete light field that replicates the experience of looking at real objects, to produce an incredibly lifelike and comfortable experience, without headsets or glasses.
