Software Development Engineer in Testing

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team. As a Software Test Engineer specializing in functional testing with expertise in Selenium and other automation testing tools, particularly using Python, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance professionals, to deliver robust and high-performing software solutions.

Must-have Technical Competencies - skills:

1. 3+ years of experience as Software Developer/Engineer in Test
2. Have quality-first mindset and can deep dive to code for unit testing.
3. Have developed Test Automation Framework using tools i.e., Selenium, Python, TestNG, PyTest
4. Have worked on Web Application/s and Machine Learning application as SDET/QE
5. Good exposure on JavaScript, Python and/or Java coding
6. Exposure on containerization concept like Docker and Kubernetes Familiarity with Agile/Rapid development processes

Nice to have:

1. Exposure on at least one public cloud offerings- AWS, Azure, GCP
2. Have implemented/worked CI/CD pipeline
3. Experience on Microservices
4. Exposure on Machine Learning and related Python libs (i.e. Pandas)
5. Familiarity with visualization libraries such as D3.js
6. Familiarity with AI/ML, Data Analytics frameworks
7. Familiarity with various databases like Postgres, Elasticsearch (ELK)

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester - Foundation Level).
2. Experience with other automation testing frameworks such as TestNG, Cucumber, or Robot Framework, incorporating Python.
3. Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web service testing (RESTful APIs) using Python-based tools and libraries.
4. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle).
5. Experience with performance testing tools and techniques (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) integrated with Python.
6. Understanding of cloud platforms and testing in cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) with Python.

Education and experience requirements may vary depending on the company and position, but a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Sales or a related field and several years of experience in scaling a B2B Product sales organization is required.
