We track a learner's path to solving a problem, allowing us to level against experts and identify gaps in the learner's skill and understanding. We then capture and report data that illustrates not only what a learner knows, but what she can do. Learning is moving online and jobs are changing. We believe assessment is the next big thing. Academic institutions need to engage, develop competencies, and credential. Employers need evidence of skills for hiring and professional development, particularly in fast-changing industries. We can do better than the current status quo, which remains heavily reliant on multiple-choice tests. Thoughtful implementation of new technologies makes it possible.
