Aura came about because of CEO, Abi Hannah’s own IVF journey. Like 9 in 10 people undergoing fertility treatment, she found it stressful, isolating and traumatic. After conceiving her daughter she set about improving the experience for others. Clinics are brilliant at the clinical side of IVF, but are often failing patients when it comes to emotional support. With a background in healthcare management consultancy, Abi spotted an opportunity to solve a problem for both clinics and patients - reducing the burden on fertility clinics whilst improving patient experience and outcomes. Aura raised a £600k pre-seed investment round in 2021 from notable tech angels and a venture capital fund. Aura works with fertility clinics to transform the landscape for IVF support.
