Audacious Energy careers

We’re Audacious Energy, a cleantech company changing the way the world stores energy through the use of second life electric vehicle (EV) batteries in stationary applications, and a proprietary appliance control software (ACS) which provides data and tools for energy consumption management. Our vision is to reduce carbon emissions by 1 million cars equivalent by the year 2030. Our beachhead customers are clients in the commercial farming industry in developing economies, looking to install or expand their use of renewable energy (eg - via solar microgrids).

We build IoT devices to track and control electricity consumption at an appliance level and give users ease of access and detailed insights into their energy usage. We have built our ACS to manage appliances in a manner that reduces cost for the user and has the potential to extend battery life for a hybrid solar system. To profitably launch and encourage adoption of our software product, we have designed it to enable extended use of second life EV batteries in commercial farming applications.

More specifically, our product is a network of smart switches and controllers which are easily installed at an electrical panel. A farmer uses an app to track energy use and control which appliances are given power at any point in time. There is a back-end algorithm controlling switches, but the user has the option override the algorithm.

Value for the customer is in: 1) awareness of energy consumption, 2) control over what runs at any point, 3) analytical insights on consumption patterns and areas for improvement.

Over time, we intend to extend our software and hardware capabilities to service clients in other commercial industries beyond farming, such as commercial real estate, industrials, and more.
