Atlas Prime NRG careers
Atlas is a global independent power producer that is transitioning the electricity generation sector to 100% renewable starting with the telecommunication industry in emerging markets using our flexible energy supply & storage solution that is affordable to everyone and actively cools the planet. It is a direct replacement to the internal combustion engines that is perfect for small islands, developing states and least developed countries.
Currently, nuclear, solar, wind, and geothermal are the main renewable energy supply technologies which are limited by energy density and capacity factor. The problem is the energy density and capacity factors are too low making energy storage a requirement and an added cost.
Currently, energy storage is mainly done through pumped hydro and batteries. Batteries are the preferred energy storage approach but the chemistry isn’t built for long-term energy storage like hydro is and hydro is restricted by location.
We created an assembly that provides long-term energy storage without the added cost of batteries or the geographic restrictions of pumped hydro that fits in a shipping container and can be scaled from 15kW to over 1MW. That’s small enough to power three American homes or an entire island, 24/7/365 at a price everyone can afford. And the closer our renewable energy competition gets to our metrics, the cheaper our solution will get.
This will deploy extremely quickly behind-the-meter to sell stable electricity directly to consumers. Specifically, telecommunication tower companies in areas with an unstable that have to rely on a generator would eliminate all costs associated with fuel, while sequestering carbon dioxide at 6 Metric Ton per MW. Ultimately, this architecture would be used for disaster relief in floating power plants and coastal base-load power plants that remove heat from the surface of the ocean and effectively, actively reduce the likelihood of category 5 hurricanes/typhoons and cool the planet.
