ascribe fixes the UX for IP. We use a combination of blockchain technology, internet-scale machine learning, and well-designed legals. ascribe.io enables creators to secure their copyright, marketplaces to source legitimate content, and collectors to own authenticated digital content. We enable whole new businesses, such as unique digital editions, and secondary markets for digital property.

The ascribe team started work on ascribe.io in 2013, shipped private beta in early 2014, and public production in Feb 2015. In early 2016, the ascribe team shifted focus to a scalable blockchain database. The company was renamed to @BigchainDB. The team continues to support the vision of ascribe, and the product ascribe.io.
