Archipel India Foundation careers
FOUNDED IN 2018, ARCHIPEL stands as a rapidly advancing regenerative food systems enterprise, spreading regenerative agriculture across India to uplift smallholder farmer livelihoods and create carbon-positive food systems.
Core operations revolve around the production and distribution of regenerative agriculture portfolios. These portfolios are designed to sustainably confer community, climate, and biodiversity benefits in the project region of interest by enabling smallholder farmers to become self-sufficient cultivators of agroforestry systems. With several key components, organic agri-inputs, training modules, and on-field monitoring and support systems being the critical three, ARCHIPEL’S regenerative portfolios provide farmers with resources and knowledge to revitalise topsoil with microbiota, nutrients, and carbon and to maintain a diverse cropping portfolio throughout the year.
The framework by which ARCHIPEL operates is one which fosters a significant level of trust with entire farming communities prior to the initiation of any project activities. By fostering trustful relationships that underpin transparent and seamless interactions, a sense of camaraderie is established between farmers and on-field associates.
Linking smallholder farmers to value-addition prospects which inspire agricultural diligence and entrepreneurialism was an approach to securing farmer livelihoods spearheaded by Naandi Foundation. As ARCHIPEL’S primary knowledge partner, Naandi has encouraged us to apply this approach within our operational frameworks and value systems. In doing so, we can enable farmers to enhance the calibre of their assets and fortify the profitability and stability of their farm enterprise. We wish to spread agricultural resilience in this manner to bring about food systems transformations, starting locally in India and hopefully spreading across the Global South and the rest of the world.
