Security is a "hair on fire" problem for the crypto ecosystem. So far this year over $2B has been lost to hacks & exploits. The open-source nature of smart contracts + large assets under management make them prime targets for hackers. Today's existing security solutions (eg. pre-deployment audits, post-deployment simulations, post-attack alerts) fail to sufficiently solve this problem. We view dynamic, preventative security infrastructure that protects protocols & dApps in real-time as the future of the market. Anomaly is the company that will make this happen, just like Palo Alto Networks / CrowdStrike / Cloudflare did in web2. We’ve raised $3.5M+ led by Quiet Capital along with a number of top crypto angels to execute on this vision. Marty Hu (founder & CEO): Marty was a CS major at Stanford and dropped out from the Master’s program there in 2011 to co-found Predictive Edge, an applied ML startup that was working to personalize eCommerce offerings for marketers. They were acqui-hired by Dropbox in 2014 and post-acquisition he was the tech lead for Mailbox. He left Dropbox in 2015 to become co-founder & CTO of Prodigy, a startup that built software for auto retailers that was acquired by Upstart, the AI lending marketplace, for ~$100m in 2021.
