Jobs at American VoxPop

We're hiring across engineering, design, data, and growth as we build the platform of record for civic transparency and citizen-led accountability. Typical roles we look for include full-stack and backend engineers (TypeScript/Node, Python, Postgres), product designers comfortable shipping for real users, data and ML engineers who can wrangle government datasets at scale, and growth/community builders who can help us reach Citizen Officers in every congressional district. We care more about how you think than where you went to school. Strong candidates can point to things they've shipped, opinions they've formed from doing the work, and an ability to make sharp trade-offs under uncertainty. Civic-tech or government experience is a plus but not required — a clear interest in democracy, accountability, and the long arc of American self-governance is. We're Austin-headquartered and onsite-or-remote, with deliberate in-person time for cross-functional work. If you don't see a role listed but think you'd be a fit, please reach out at [email protected] — we keep an active list of high-signal candidates for the next role we open.
