Working for the Deputy Director for Air Systems, you will engage with priority aircraft and air-launched weapon systems acquisition programs to provide an independent analysis of program status, technological maturation, and risk areas.
Support small-team efforts to analyze programs and characterize risk tied to program acquisition milestones. Collaborate with aircraft and air-launched weapon programs across the DoW to understand their efforts including program plans, acquisition plans, technical approach and maturity, schedule, risk, and other aspects in order to present status to OUSW(R&E) leadership.
Effectively communicate program status, issues, risks, plans to executive leadership in narrative, briefing, and oral form.
Evaluate and understand the technology and engineering capabilities central to aircraft and air-launched weapon programs; understand how aircraft and air-launched weapon capabilities impact and support the Joint Warfighter.
Work independently to become an expert on programs and technologies within your area; develop and execute a tailored plan to facilitate DTE&A engagement with your programs; apply best practices from across DTE&A.

• Research submarine construction using ship construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Develop 2D electrical cabling diagrams, system interface diagrams and wiring tables in accordance with applicable standards.

• Work as part of a small team within Office of the Undersecretary of War (Research and Engineering) (OUSW(R&E)) focused on understanding DoW land systems architectures, emerging capabilities, and technologies in order to provide effective engagement with land acquisition programs, prototyping efforts, and concepts.

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and testers, providing guidance on best practices, test methodologies, and quality standards.
• Coordinate all QA and testing activities for a suite of software products developed by multiple defense contractors, ensuring a cohesive and standardized approach to quality.

• Oversee the daily management of tasks, projects, and program-level operations, ensuring assigned work is completed accurately and in accordance with program and contract requirements.

• Develop and execute spend plans across multiple fiscal years, appropriations, and budget lines.
• Update spend plans during Continuing Resolutions and support budget drills, data calls, POM submissions, and congressional inquiries.

• Provide contract-level financial planning, tracking, reconciliation, and reporting for a multi-task security-services environment.
