Ambience is building a suite of software tools for healthcare providers (doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants etc.) with the mission of giving them AI superpowers. Our technology combines a unique blend of machine learning research and deep medical expertise to ambiently support providers as they care for their patients.

The most painful part of a provider’s day consists of hours of late-night administrative work, writing detailed documentation in the medical record for each of their visits. We’re starting to see the consequences of this widespread documentation burden: providers are burning out and resigning from their careers in medicine at record rates. Until now, healthcare systems have been unable to find a solution that was both effective and affordable.

Ambience's flagship product, Ambience AutoScribe, is a fully automated AI medical scribe that captures the nuances of provider-patient conversation in real-time into a comprehensive note, so providers can focus on what matters most: caring for patients. Today, the product is used by providers every single day for every single one of their visits, even in some of the most challenging medical specialties (e.g. psychiatry and complex geriatric primary care). For the first time in years, our providers are able to get home on time for dinner and don’t need to spend hours late at night catching up on their charts.

We’ve raised $30MM in total funding to-date and we’re fortunate to be working with some incredible partners like Andreessen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins and OpenAI.
