AKUA is a high-impact, plant-based food company on a mission  to replace the most unsustainable form of food agriculture in the world with the most sustainable. 

Using ocean-farmed kelp as our primary ingredient, we have launched three initial food lines of Kelp Jerky, Kelp Pasta and most recently, our Kelp Burgers. Our vision is to create an entire platform of meat-alternative products made from ocean-farmed kelp.

Our first product Kelp Jerky is the world's first meat alternative snack made of seagreens, and the world's first carbon negative snack, which serves a health-conscious consumer seeking sustainable foods. Kelp Jerky has been recognized by Time Magazine as an Invention of the Year for Sustainability and by Fast Company as a World Changing Idea.

Since the start of the year, we've have been heads down balancing fast-growth and getting our next product ready for launch: The Kelp Burger - a whole foods, plant-based burger that's non-GMO, non-processed, and chews like a meat burger but tastes vegetarian. 

After several weeks of kitchen and manufacturing tests, we're now developing the Kelp Beta Burger community to help us gather feedback & funding for our fall launch.  

In short - the machine is running, we're prepped to scale, and we're raising funds to launch the Kelp Burger, and establish our platform for kelp-based foods that are not just healthy for you, but for our planet too.
