Airvine careers

The Airvine WaveTunnel™ system has been designed to provide multi-gigabit indoor backbone transport without the need for cabling of any type. Each node comes equipped with two radios, one focused in the upstream direction and the other in the downstream direction. Each radio can send and receive in TDD mode using one of the six V-band channels (57-71 GHz). Each channel is 2.16 GHz wide and can deliver 4.6 Gbps at the physical layer using 16 QAM modulation, which enables a payload of 3.15 Gbps per radio. Since there are two radios in each node, the total throughput is 6.3 Gbps. The second generation of the WaveTunnel system will push throughput up towards 40 Gbps.
