We're a seed-funded team of 5 building a platform for engineers to build internal tools for their non-technical teammates. We believe that what we're building today will one day become the internal software foundation for every business. We're hiring engineers and designers to help us build Airplane. There are a few reasons you may want to join us: LEARNING: Airplane is led by experienced, second-time founders. Ravi previously co-founded Heap, a Y Combinator-backed analytics company that raised $95M in total funding and grew to 200+ people during his time there. Josh was employee #1 and CTO at Benchling, a YC- and Benchmark-backed life sciences software company he helped scale to 300+ people. LARGE MARKET: "Internal tools" covers the massive amount of software developed within companies that is not customer-facing. Companies globally spend trillions of dollars spent every year developing these systems. TECHNICAL CHALLENGES: Building high-quality internal tools is hard, but we're trying to make it incredibly easy for our customers. That means that not only do we absorb the the complexity ourselves, we have to generalize it across a massively heterogenous set of environments, frameworks, etc. PRODUCT CHALLENGES: We're taking a very different approach to internal tooling than existing solutions, of which there are many. There are hundreds of small and large decisions we have to get right to achieve our vision. We're looking for folks who are excited by helping make those decisions and own big parts of a new product.
