Acquaint is a nonprofit startup using state-of-the-art methods in technology and marketing to achieve a big vision: people connecting from all walks of life to bring the world together. Here you will get in on the ground floor of an impact-driven startup with huge potential to make a difference in healing worldwide divisions and reducing isolation. While some for-profit platforms claim a similar mission, historically, many have served to divide people rather than unite them, creating isolated bubbles and echo chamber effects for people sharing the same beliefs. Members connect for one-on-one conversations on the Acquaint platform using an audio connection and a series of virtual experiences as icebreakers. Every conversation includes at least one trained and vetted volunteer, making it a safe environment to be a part of. In some ways, we are encouraging people to go against their very nature. As humans, we find it easier to connect with people who share our beliefs, our location, our background, or any number of other factors. But on Acquaint, you could connect with someone different from you in every possible way. And yet, our platform makes it much easier because you have something to talk about and look at together that is conflict-free and thus makes it much more comfortable to have a conversation.
