Jobs at Abakino

"abakino" comes from "abak" and "kino". An "abak" was an early education tool: the sand tablet. "Kino" relates to motion and cinema. As a filmmaker and teacher, I was always interested in how knowledge might be expressed in the future. Until recently, all teaching happened with static images (i.e. text and illustrations): whether sand tablet or chalkboard, a teacher would write on a surface, then add to it or erase and start over. Our vision is to write and modify "kinetic images" i.e. "rewritable videos" that let educators teach and share knowledge with ever-improvable content based in motion and sound.
