8ack GmbH develops FroggStack, an Nginx-based WebApplicationFirewall (WAF) that will be sold both as Security-as-a-Service (like Cloudflare) but also as a software-product for installation and in-house usage by datacenter-operators, hosting-providers or companies that run webapplications.

The WAF-solution is based on Naxsi and a custom lua-based solution that implements logic, ip-reputation and layer-7-DDoS-protection.  We already have 2 years of attacker-data (8ack.de/honeypot) and are planning to use this data to protect from known-bad requests.

The software connecting the webbased frontend with the nginx-nodes is designed in a way that allows 3rd-party-frontends to access and manipulate nginx-configurations, thus is able to integrate into existing inhouse-products. 

Beside WAF-functions our product offers all needed nginx-modules and 
configuration-options to leverage the full power of nginx like caching, loadbalancing, sticky sessions or distributed cache.
