There is a BIG Gap in early Computer Science education. Computer Science (CS) in school is correlated with stronger academic outcomes, higher college completion, and better career options, but few students have access. Finding qualified CS teachers is difficult because CS is an evolving discipline, industry jobs for such skills are in high demand and the pay gap is large. Despite training existing teachers to teach CS, the gap in teaching advanced courses (like AP CS & data science) remains substantial.
