cultureNOW (cNOW) has been creating a virtual museum of the world outside or a Museum Without Walls for the past 20 years. The digital collection consists of the built environment (architecture) with cultural insertions (public art) overlaid through time (history) with the people who had impact (both current and historical figures) and their events and stories. The database links more than 17,000 sites, 50,000 images, 2500 original podcasts and videos and 50 self guided tours. The app and website won an NYC Big Apps 2.0 Award in 2011 and the American Institute of Architects National Collaborative Achievement Award in 2012. The new version has many new features including historical maps and photos pinned to google maps, image recognition, playlists, calendars, and user accounts allowing people to save sites and make their own tours.

Unwired Labs LocationIQ is built with love by a small team. We offer mobile positioning technologies as a LaaS API (Location as a Service) to developers and companies world-over. We serve over 100,000 developers on our platform, receive billions of hits to our service each day and have been profitable for 7+ years. We’ve been in the geolocation space long enough for us understand the frustrations of building location-centric apps. Expensive pricing tiers that don’t scale, inflexible contracts, and unapproachable support; we’ve seen it all. We took up the challenge to make geolocation experiences affordable, scalable and flexible.

Mach9 builds location intelligence software to help civil engineering and government customers analyze massive amounts of geospatial sensor data. We've been working on software automation for common surveying workflows and are driven to bring perception software from self-driving to industries that need it today. Our team spun out of the Carnegie Mellon Robotics Institute and previously worked at Tesla Autopilot, SpaceX GNC, and Apple Performance Engineering. We went through YC last summer, raised a seed round last December, and have been rapidly growing our team.
