Community Builder & Designer (Internship)

Background
If Journey succeeds, it will be because we have been able to cultivate supportive, engaging, motivating, and inspiring communities across hundreds of different Journeys -- from skydiving to knitting. It is at the core of what we do and what we give our users.

I believe that community builders and designers are one of the most undervalued roles in tech today. If you look at the 'hot' tech companies -- companies like Discord, Substack, and Masterclass, community is an integral part of what they do.

What are you passionate about? A sport? Art? Craft? Career? Whatever it is, we'd love you to help us build that community within the Journey app.

Purpose
To create welcoming, supportive, and inspiring communities that help people achieve their goals...while enjoying the process -- the journey.

The Role
The role is two fold:

1. Creating and building really great communities. Communities you and I, and all our friends, would want to be a part of. This will involve:
2. Welcoming and engaging new people in the community
3. Sharing interesting, relevant, entertaining, or just plain funny content.
4. Fostering an inclusive, supportive, motivating, fun and inspiring culture within the community.
5. Advising the Product team. Taking your learnings of what users want -- what's going to move the needle for engaging the community -- and giving them to the Product team to create new features.
