You create tooling and automated processes to prevent yourself and others from making the same mistake twice. You notice recurring patterns in code and know when and how to create abstractions.

Day 5

• Learn about Viaduct’s history and mission
• Get to know every team member
• Set up your development environment
• Understand Viaduct’s system architecture
• Deep dive into the nuances of vehicle data
• Attend our weekly ML lunch

Day 30

• Understand existing microservices and tooling
• Find opportunities for better developer and machine learning tooling
• Design and start developing new microservices
• Be familiar with the day-to-day work of machine learning engineers and data scientists

Day 90

• Be an expert in Viaduct’s microservices
• Improve the microservice development experience
• Build internal tools and external services
• Present your work at our weekly ML lunch

Expected Skills

• 2+ years working as a backend or full-stack engineering on a large production system
  
• Expertise in Python, Scala, or Go
• Experience developing and versioning APIs
• Know how to build event-driven applications
• Experience with Docker
• Exceptional Skills
• Experience with Kubernetes
